Conference paper: Model of Healthcare Integrated System and Solving Security and Privacy Matters in Personal Health Records

ConferenceWorkshop on Information Security 2019, 9th Balkan Conference in Informatics

Proceedings: Computer and Communications Engineering, Vol. 13, No. 2/2019

Abstract:

Nowadays, healthcare systems tend to generate huge amounts of data collected from different healthcare systems’ actors and collected in large data sets. This makes them particularly interesting for a wide range of user groups. This increases the risk of abuse and unauthorized access to the personal and sensitive data. Data collected in a variety of means and stored in different datacenters related to patients, doctors, insurance companies, health providers and other stakeholders in one or more countries may be subject of misuse at many levels. So, when dealing with such complex systems a complex data security management is needed. For the IPA 2 project CROSS4ALL, which intends to make an integrated health and social care system across the border and collect patient data from both sides of the Republic of N. Macedonia and Greece border, we proposed a sophisticated system architecture that deals with the data security and privacy standards of two countries according to the data protection regulations and laws.
